What is the Human Race?
This is a unique opportunity
for individuals, families and
businesses to work together
to raise money for your
organization. Participants can
collect pledges toward a
5k walk, 5k non-competitive
run or one-mile walk held at Thrivent
Financial for Lutherans on Ballard Rd.
in Appleton and Menomiee Park in Oshkosh.
Who Benefits?
As a participating nonprofit organization you will receive
75% of the money collected and the Volunteer Center
receives the remaining 25% for event coordination.
If your charitable organization collects more than
$5,000 your organization will receive 80% of the money
collected with a chance to keep 90%. Challenge grants
will also be given in several competitive categories.
School groups, band groups, church youth groups as
well as non profit agencies are welcome to raise money
for their organizations.
How can I financially support my favorite agency?
In order to support an agency it has to be one of the participating teams. Click on TEAMS to find your agency.
Once you find your Team or Agency, click on the NAME of your agency
Now you have two choices.
To PLEDGE: Click on a Team Member and the page will open to the Team Members
page and then you will see “Donate Now”. Follow the prompts to make a donation.
This site is secure and encrypted.
To JOIN THE TEAM: Clicking this option allows you to set up an account so that you can raise funds for
your agency. It does not matter whether you are walking in the Human Race or not. It shows your family and friends
that this is a cause that you believe in and are raising much-needed funds for them.
Of course, we would love to have you join us on May 1st.
If you have not registered for the walk, you can do so on May 1st. Ask for the registration table. If you have
off line donations, we ask that you bring a check for the total amount made out to the Human Race. At the Registration
Table, you will need to sign a Waiver of Liability. Please come there will be food, music and friends all walking to
make the Fox Valley a great place to live.
